Central Coast Fire Fighters’ Charity Golf Tournament

The 10^th annual Central Coast Fire Fighters’ Charity Golf Tournament was held April 20, 2009 at the Monarch Dunes course in Nipomo, California.  Organized by retired fire fighter Mr. Greg Leptich, the Central Coast event benefits the International Association of Fire Fighters Burn Foundation. The IAFF Burn Foundation is dedicated to burn prevention and education, burn research and improving the quality of life for burn survivors.

 

Including this year’s event, the charity golf tournament has raised approximately $280,000.  These funds have benefited: children’s attendance to the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation “Champ Camp” at Wonder Valley Ranch in Sanger, California; the Fire Fighters’ Burn Research Program at Fresno’s Community Regional Medical Center Leon S. Peters Burn Unit; and families of fire fighters who have died in the line of duty. 

 

The charity golf tournament is a favorite event on the California Central Coast, as it combines the fun of golfing and the satisfaction of helping others.  This year was the second time the event was held at Monarch Dunes, an award-winning championship golf course.  Earth Systems Pacific has supported and participated in the event for seven years.
